Guests self-check in and will have the house and garden exclusively for themselves.

The house will be thoroughly serviced and sanitised between bookings.

Grocery deliveries are available from local supermarkets, Winfrith village store and the local Sailor's Return pub.

The Sailor's Return also offers a takeaway service from their doorstep and delivery at pre-arranged times.

There are numerous quiet traffic-free walks directly to Lulworth Cove, the cliff-top, Durdle Door and the coast, no social distancing issues.

Location:

200 yards off of the lane between Winfrith Newburgh and East Chaldon (Chaldon Herring). Midway between Dorchester and Wareham. The local  pub, The Sailors Return, serves good food and local brews. Children and dogs are welcomed. The pub is is half a mile from the house, along the lane. Lulworth Cove is four miles by road or a three  mile stroll on permissive tracks through the countryside. The house just over a mile from the coast, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a World Heritage Site and an area of Special Scientific Interest. 

The house is located in an elevated rural position, surrounded by fields with uninterrupted views and no houses or traffic nearby. The plot is an acre of terraced lawns, with garden seating on the patio, barbecue and secure parking on gravel in the grounds.

Bedrooms:

Five bedrooms: two en-suite doubles and two en-suite twins on the first floor, a double with private bathroom on the ground floor.  Double beds minimum 5ft and twin beds 3ft. Bedrooms are equipped with bedding, hand and bath towels, soap, hair-dryer, torch, WiFi, hairdryer, radio / alarm clock, terrestrial and satellite TV with Freeview and Netflix. There are no attic rooms. Separate ground floor toilet with hand basin, six toilets in total. Two cots and two high chairs are always available. A single folding bed with bedding and towels is available at no extra charge.

Dining room:

The separate dining room comfortably seats up to twelve persons around a large purpose-built Devon pine table. Large serving dishes etc. are stored in the wall unit. The room opens onto the patio through sliding doors. The sound system in the sitting-room is switchable to this room.

Sitting-room:

Seating sixteen on five sofas. A wide selection of books, wood-burner, 42" Smart HDTV with Netflix and Freeview, DVD player, dozens of popular DVD's and a selection of children's DVD's. Oak sideboard, board games, upright piano (tuned regularly!), stereo with CD player and iphone dock and dozens of CD's. Stereo switchable to any combination of sitting-room, dining room, kitchen and outside patio seating and barbecue area.

Kitchen and utility room:

A modern, fully-equipped kitchen with a central island, six hob electric Rangemaster 110 with two ovens and grill. Breakfast room area with seating for six and sliding doors leading to the patio. Two dishwashers, washing machine, two tumble dryers, upright fridge-freezer, 1000 watt microwave, steam iron and board, ample crockery, cutlery and modern kitchen appliances. Everything you could require to cater for a dozen or more people.

Local area:

The thatched village pub in East Chaldon, the Sailor's Return, is a half-mile, serving excellent food in the restaurant and bar. Plenty of parking and outside garden seating. Children and dogs are welcome. A popular venue with a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
